Leading an engagement with strategy is one of the foundational elements of Duct Tape Marketing and our methodology. Strategy and tactics must go hand in hand in order for a business to achieve a measure of true momentum, but an effective strategy must be in place before any set of tactics make sense.

Following the Build, Grow and Ignite model – we have outlined three different levels of a Strategy First Engagement. Below you will find the outline for each package and what is included. Together, through discovery and conversation, we will determine which strategy package is right for your business.

Build Strategy First Package (30 day engagement-2 virtual meetings)-$3,000

This is our most basic strategy first engagement. The core difference of a Build Strategy Package vs a Grow is this level of engagement consists of 2 meetings instead of 3: the discovery call and final presentation meeting. The research and deliverables are also scaled back a bit. You can find the basic outline below. 

  1. Total Online Presence Report – The engagement will begin with reports of your current online presence which includes a look at your website journey, SEO, keywords, content, social media and ratings, and reviews.
  2. Client survey – Survey to 5-10 ideal client and/or employees completed by the consultant. You will receive access to high-level summaries, ideal client profiles, and a big promise to help direct your core message.
  3. Competitive research – High-level summaries for 3 of your top competitors.
  4. Core Message and Positioning – Creation of the positioning and messaging strategy to build on.
  5. Content roadmap – Core content hub themes and sample hub topics to build a content calendar from for 3 months.
  6. Marketing Hourglass – A roundup of suggested marketing tactics for each of the phases of the Marketing Hourglass: Know, Like, Trust, Try, Buy, Repeat and Refer.
  7. High-level strategies – 4-6 of your highest-level strategies identified and mapped out as next steps.

 

Grow Strategy First Package (45 day engagement-3 virtual meetings)-$5,000

The Grow Strategy First Marketing Package starts with a Total Online Presence Audit to look at everything you are currently doing online. In the next phase, the package focuses on creating a marketing plan by interviewing ideal clients, developing core messaging, creating a content calendar, building the phases of the Marketing Hourglass and leaving the client with the highest priorities and recommendations. 

What’s included:

  1. Total Online Presence Audit – The engagement will begin with an audit of your current online presence which includes a look at your website journey, SEO, keywords, content, social media and ratings, and reviews.
  2. Client interview – 5 ideal client and/or employee interviews completed by the consultant. You will receive access to high-level summaries, ideal client profiles, and a big promise to help direct your core message.
  3. Competitive research – High-level summaries and a report on competitive factors for 3 of your top competitors.
  4. Core Message and Positioning – Creation of the positioning and messaging strategy to build on.

Ignite Strategy First Package (60 day engagement-4 virtual meetings)-$7,500

The Ignite Strategy Package is scaled up a bit from Grow including a higher level of research and deliverables. You can find the basic outline below. 

  1. Total Online Presence Audit and Reports – The engagement will begin with an audit and reports of your current online presence which includes a look at your website journey, SEO, keywords, content, social media and ratings, and reviews.
  2. Client interview – 10 ideal client and/or employee interviews completed by the consultant. You will receive access to high-level summaries, ideal client profiles, and a big promise to help direct your core message.
  3. Competitive research – Detailed summaries and a report on competitive factors for 3 of your top competitors.
  4. Core Message and Positioning – Creation of the positioning and messaging strategy to build on.
  5. Content roadmap – Core content hub themes and sample hub topics to build a content calendar from for 12 months.
  6. Marketing Hourglass – A roundup of suggested marketing tactics for each of the phases of the Marketing Hourglass: Know, Like, Trust, Try, Buy, Repeat and Refer.
  7. High-level strategies – 4-6 of your highest-level strategies identified and mapped out as next steps.

After the Strategy First Engagement we then move towards a done-for-you or done-with-you retainer engagement.
